Is there any language which has words for various stages of development of a flower?

Yes. Tamil, surprisingly has the following 7 words for each stage of development of a flower.

  1. Arumbu
  2. Mottu
  3. Mugai
  4. Malar
  5. Alar
  6. Vee
  7. Semmal

I have examined the claim. For the claim of cognate, there should be common parentage which is not true for Tamil.Tamil has no proven mother .All the words are etymologically Tamil only.Hence I have not accepted the suggestion.
